About

An Aussie expat it has been 7 years since I posted on this but my interest never waned in the urban hippie life. I traveled the world often by train or bike or other means sometimes by air.

Since leaving Australia back in 2017 my family and i have lived in small towns near London foraging and accessing local produce and are now based in the Netherlands near Amsterdam.

I have restarted this project to capture some of the lessons learnt from traveling and still trying to live a sustainable life. in many ways this is harder yet more relatable than living in Melbourne was. The lessons are universal and as things have changed post pandemic things in many ways have remained the same.

It is also part of me getting my health back after near a decade of health challenges while not out of the woods I am in better shape and it seemed like a good time to restart.

  1. Aw bugger. I came to see where abouts in Melbourne you hail from. I’m guessing that since you buy tortillas in Kensington then you’re likely from the inner west/north west, nearish to where we used to live in Spotswood.

I know what you mean about craving real food. Interesting about the tortillas though but I agree with your theory. I look forward to further reading back through your blog. šŸ™‚
